When Master & Dynamic launched the MW09 earphones, I helped develop the imagery and motion system. Flickering striped backgrounds energized the earbuds, establishing a dynamic and flexible graphic treatment.
The striped graphics were designed to interact with the earbuds themselves, creating reflections and light spills across the metallic surfaces. These dynamic compositions were easily extended into the model photography, building a flexible visual world around the product.
We created and animated the striped environments, then worked with a 3D artist to place the earbuds within them. The lines interact with the product, move through scenes, and act as transitions throughout the video.
For the product webpage, the graphics became more than simple background treatments. In this image, the lines visualize Active Noise Cancelling, compressing from a busy field into a controlled signal.
As part of Master & Dynamic’s internal team, I worked across every part of the launch, from campaign imagery and motion to packaging and printed materials.
