Makeshift started as a personal design club, a place to make without waiting for a brief. Over time, it became a playful, colorful brand that gave me space to experiment and build a visual world of my own. The wordmark blends “make shit” and “makeshift,” a reminder to create with whatever is available.
After years of being a consumer of merch, I finally had the chance to create my own. Each piece became a small campaign, pushing the identity off-screen and into the real world.
Over time, the identity stretched into more playful forms while while still carrying the same visual DNA.
I used familiar objects I love within the club invite designs, subtly weaving my own interests into the Makeshift world.
What started as a personal outlet eventually led to real client work. PUMA brought me on to create social content using the visual language I developed through Makeshift. This same style later led to projects with brands like Timberland and Nike By You.
